Memorial Day

Remember ...

Memorial Day is not to be confused with Veterans Day; Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War.

Nowadays most people a forgotten that and only look at it as a reason to have a three-day weekend from work and they spent most that kind is camping out with their friends.  While others look at it as more like the Veterans Day celebration and not about the ones who lost their lives in combat and during war time.

Now I”m going to deal with you straight on this one.  I spent my Memorial Day weekend doing yard work and house maintenance, but it just happened to be the way this day fell for me.  It is not like I don”t realize there”s a good reason for this day.  In fact, I”m well aware of what it”s for it was not because I was taught this in school but because I did my own homework and research on it.  From what I have seen on the social media networks.  Most people are of the opinion that this is about the living soldiers and not the deceased ones.  Those people are greatly confuse.

Now that”s been a while since I”ve told you little bit about what”s going on with us as you know I”ve recently picked up a GPS unit for the walk along with a new camera for the walk.  I”m getting to know the ins and outs of the camera and the GPS unit all the things I can tweak out of it and their limitations.  Because we all know, all electronic devices have their own personality quirks that they have.  I have also picked up a good power inverter for when we are on the walk to keep our electronics fully charged that inverter only ran me $20 is much better than having to build one from scratch, which would”ve ran me about $25-$30.  I still need to get a good car battery.  I”m looking at a deep cycle one for this walk a long with a good solar charging system for it.

Anyways, we are still in need of donations so if you can help please donate to us.  There is a link in the upper right-hand corner of this website, which you can donate to us with.  If you do not have a cash that you can donate you could always tell your friends about us.  And leave feedback and comments on the blog posts or our Twitter/Facebook page Which in return will improve our search engine ranking and help get the word out.  If you run a blog and nice little blog post about us would be great for, even if you cannot give cash.  There are lots of ways you can help us out.

Have a great day and I hope you enjoyed this three-day weekend and really understand what it was about.
