Website update

For those of you who read the last post before deleted. I thought would give you an update on what was going on and how I fixed it, along with a few of the other problems that I encountered for those of you that did not have a chance to read before removed it. One of the plug-ins for the WordPress was broken. The plug-in allowed Facebook to interact with this website. So once I’ve diagnosed that problem, and removed that plug-inall things on the site seem to be working okay now. By getting rid of that plug-in means that you will no longer have your Facebook pictures used as a picture when you leave comments and you will not be able to use Facebook to login to the site anymore. I will be adding to the FAQ , the way you can add your picture to your profile if you do not already know how to do so.

But there are a few other things I would like to discuss with you. You see, we’re in desperate need of getting some sponsors. We’re also desperate need to get donations. You might ask yourself, what is the difference between sponsors and donations. After all, they both usually mean putting funds in the pocket for The Walk well, they are quite similar, so let me tell you some of the differences in the way I’ve structured this. The way I see it sponsorship comes from a corporation or a business that is willing to donate either goods or services to The Walk with those type of things given to us. They will cut down the overall cost of doing this operation now I’m not saying they can’t also send cash after all, that would be helpful to. Now, donations, on the other hand come from private people in the form of cash, I will also consider consumable resources as a donation and not sponsorship, for example, of the consumable resources. I am referring too, things like food and water, a place to set up camp, or a couch to sleep on use of their toilet facilities were showers, they can also donate by just helping spread the word of this project.

Then there’s the other way that they might be able to help. They’re not really sponsors, and are not really donators in that category is reserved for staff. Now what makes staff different than the other categories is that there is providing important role similar to that of the people actually doing The Walk part of that is because wall on The Walk. It will be very hard to maintain the website and a few other key important areas. Some of the areas that need to be dealt with was staff that can’t fully be dealt with with people on The Walk. Some of the things that can’t be dealt wi a also include things such as media contact emergency information, shipping and receiving . [Mostly for things that we have to send back or have to get sent to us] and then there’s some more promotional work they have to do for us. Some of that would be things like answering phone calls and e-mails. They would also be the people that would be responsible for making sure that we had funds in are spending account.

For those of you who wish to help us with this endeavor you have a few things that you can do if you can’t afford to send money. You see, word-of-mouth advertising is one of the best forms of advertising out there. So tell your friends and coworkers about this Tell your neighbors and people you run into on the street. Share on Facebook and Twitter save your pocket change from when you go to the store and donated it to us. Give us a place to sleep, If you see us on the road. But most importantly, have fun doing it. I know that you are helping out a great cause.

On a closing note, sometimes you have to think more than for yourself when you do things. We all have in our ability to make this world a little better place for someone, no matter what your situation is, you can always give help to someone, somehow, someway.

Hope the rest your day goes really well for you.
